ABC Postcard Pack

A pack of 26 individual postcards, each sporting a letter from the delightful children's book ‘The Great Eastern ABC’, originally published in 1858 and still loved today.

Brightly illustrated with period script, each card features one letter of the alphabet with an illustration to accompany the word e.g. Anchor, Brunel, Cable. All cards are enclosed in a smart case to protect and package them up nicely as a present.

When the SS Great Eastern was launched in 1858, souvenirs were sold to mark the occasion. At this time, Brunel was seen as a major celebrity and the launch of his ship in London was a massive event.
